Lagos state release 21 covid-19 patients.

The Lagos State government has announced the discharge of 21 covid-19 from the state isolation wards .                                                         

This was disclosed through the official Twitter handle of the Lagos state ministry of health official Twitter handle LSMOH                                                 
According to the handle, 17 males and 4 females were discharged after recovering from the disease and testing negative twice.                                
*️⃣21 #COVID19Lagos patients; 4 females & 17 males; all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities at Onikan, Eti-Osa (LandMark), First Cardiology Hospital & @LUTHofficial to reunite with  the society.                                                        
*️⃣The patients; 3 from Onikan, 1 from Eti-Osa (LandMark), 6 from Lekki, 1 from First Cardiology & 10 from @LUTHofficial have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively

*️⃣With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos has risen to 469.

Residents of Ogidi ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara have called on the state government to rescue them from perennial darkness occasioned by a faulty transformer servicing three communities in the area. Kaduna records two more deaths from coronavirus

The Kaduna State Government says it has recorded two more COVID-19 related deaths. Governor Nasir El-Rufai  stated this in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, adding that the two latest fatalities included a senior citizen from Makarfi and a lady from Zaria. In the tweet, released at 11.04 p.m. on Saturday, the governor revealed that two more persons had tested positive in the state, bringing the active COVID-19 cases to 87. He said the two new cases were a male from Igabi and a female from Chikun Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. The state recorded its first reported COVID-19 related deaths on May 2, when a patient, a retired civil servant, who reportedly concealed his travel history to Kano, died before the result of his test was out. Zamfara police partner ex-bandits, rescue 12 kidnap victims – Official

The police command in Zamfara has rescued 12 kidnap victims through the collaboration of repentant bandits in the state. This was contained in a statement signed by Shehu Mohammed, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday. Mr Mohammed said that the victims who were kidnapped from Farar Kasa and Sabon Birni villages, were rescued two weeks after with the assistance of the repentant bandits. According to him, the repentant bandits assisted the police in trailing the abductors to their hideouts. He said that the Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo, while handing over the victims to the Zamfara State Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, Abubakar Dauran, commended the repentant bandits for keeping to their promise in supporting  Governor Bello Matawalle ’s peace and reconciliation initiative.
